This notice explains how Ilm and Play Ltd uses the information you share with us through this website.

Who we are
Ilm and Play Ltd is the data controller for information collected on this website. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17428024. You can contact us about anything in this notice at admin@ilmandplay.co.uk.
What we collect
When you register your interest in a place, we collect:
- your name, email address, phone number and postcode
- your child's first name (if you choose to give it) and date of birth or due date
- your preferred setting, start date, days and whether you plan to use funded hours
- how you heard about us and anything else you choose to tell us
When you register for job updates, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if given), the role you are interested in, your qualification level and anything you choose to tell us.
To protect the forms from misuse, our server also records the date and time of each submission and a scrambled (hashed) version of your internet address, used only to limit repeated submissions.
How we use it
- to reply to you and confirm we have your details
- to manage our interest list and contact you when places become available
- to plan places, sessions and staffing
- to contact you about job opportunities, if you registered for job updates
We do not sell your information or use it for marketing by other organisations.
Our lawful basis
We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us, and we will remove your details.
Where it is stored and who can see it
Form submissions are emailed to our admin inbox and kept in a protected file on our website hosting account. Only authorised Ilm and Play staff can access them. Our website and email providers process data on our behalf. Some providers may store data outside the UK; where this happens, we rely on the safeguards required by UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
- Interest list details: for up to 24 months, or until your child starts with us or you ask us to remove them.
- Job update details: for up to 12 months, or until you ask us to remove them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent. To use any of these rights, email admin@ilmandplay.co.uk.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking tools, and our fonts are hosted on our own server rather than loaded from a third party.
